My sister had a 70 Bonneville for a while. It was much uglier than that beauty and it was powered by a 455 2bbl. That car had more leg room in the back than any car I’ve ever ridden in that wasn’t a limo.

Marimba Red. It’s THE color for 61-65 big Ponchos, and looks damn good on a 65 GTO, too.

Yeah, the Bonneville was a C body, on a longer wheelbase than the Catalina, Impala etc.

It had ALL the trunk length.

A ‘65 GTO convertible in that same color is probably my #1 dream car. This Bonneville isn’t far behind (a 421/4-speed Catalina from the same year would be okay too...)

You’ll have to fight me for it - this is high on my list of cars that I want.

The good news is that you can find a decent big Pontiac convertible for a lot less than a GTO, as long as it’s not a show car or a 421.

I once owned a ‘64 Olds - Dynamic 88, so the shorter wheelbase - and that trunk was insanely huge.

The fender skirts make that Bonneville look even longer, too.

Mine is only 16 months old, and hasn’t been sick much (luckily) so he doesn’t really understand why he’s coughing, and it upsets him a bit. Getting better though!

lol mines 15 years old...i know shes really feeling sick coz she dropped the attitude and is being a well behaved nice little girl that just wants to be tucked in again rather than a grumpy gobshite that just wants to be left alone :p (it must be near terminal)

I’d be happy with good paint, non-ripped interior, no rust, and working engine. Also at a price that doesn’t send my daughter to community college

These aren’t easy to find, but they are frequently in the 20-30k range, whereas a 65 GTO starts at double that, and escalates quickly.

I’m looking at saving for high school as well as for college. I’m pretty sure my boss would not authorize such a purchase until those are paid for. Maybe that’s the motivation I need to stay healthy and productive for the next 20 years.
